To start with, the DLC was explained the perceptions of their department and of Labour Laws as to how these were perceived to be by entrepreneurs in the industry.  This perception was shared by the General Manager (HR) of M/s Shriram Pistons& Rings Ltd.

The DLC shared the provisions of Labour Laws and that these actually helped in proper operations of Industry. He shared the latest amended provisions and procedures, most of which have been made on-line which renders great relief in dealing with requirements and compliance of the Law.  This has reduced human interactions of the Labour Department to the barest minimum.  Thereafter, the DLC shared various provisions of the Laws that are under revision and how they would ease the doing of business.

After the presentation by DLC, he was asked many questions by the audience where they shared their problems and difficulties in dealing with their labour/workers and the DLC responded with very appropriate solutions.

This was attended by about 35 to 40 people representing the Entrepreneurs/ owners of SMEs or those, in-charge of HR/ Administration/ IR and those who look after production various industries in Ghaziabad and Faculty of Management Colleges.

One of the immediate advantages of this workshop was that the ABES Engineering College have planned to deploy their Management students to do project work under guidance of the DLC for surveying and collecting relevant data. This would be helpful to both, the students and to the Labour Department of UP.
