26th Annual Convention
26th National Convention at Hotel Country Inn & Suites on November 21st.
 

Ghaziabad Management Association organized its 26th National Convention at Country Inn & Suites, Sahibabad on 21st November 2015. The theme of the convention was

“Make in India – Opportunities & Strategies”
 
  • Event began with lighting of lamp and Saraswati vandana. The event was gloried by the presence of delegates from different area of expertise. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. R. K. Agarwal, President GMA & Director AKG Engineering College. Dr. R. K. Agarwal briefed about the imitative of GMA under the thoughts of our honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi i.e. “Make in India”. According to him, Make in India is not only a slogan now; it has come into the veins of each and every Indian. He talked about the strength of India in the Manufacturing sector and opportunities it could garner in this area.
  • He shared the initiatives taken by Ghaziabad Management Association in organizing various activities. He shared that GMA has been declared as the Best Local Association by AIMA once and Runners up twice during the last five years.
  • The keynote speaker Mr. Sharat Jain president & Co- Founder, Rechargeitnow.com praised the youth of India. He motivated the youth to nurture the concept of “Make in India” for the sustainable development for Indian economy and to join hands and work in unity.
  • Mr. Sameer Nagpal, CEO Refractories, Dalmia Group was the Guest of Honour. He discussed about China, whose economy is good with excellent infrastructure alongwith its cheap pricing policy. He said that India should take advantage of global slowdown and develop its infrastructure and manufacturing sector.
  • Prof. K. K. Aggarwal, Chancellor, K. R. Mangalam University, was the Chief Guest.  In his inaugural address, he focused on the ethical behaviour required for development of the economy. He discussed “Make in India” idea cannot be a success only by thinking. Vigorous efforts are required to make it a successful Initiative. Prof. Aggarwal talked about the three essential C’s. He addressed the youth as well as the curriculum of University. He said that student studying should remove the Constraints of syllabus, time; time schedule of college. Rather he should think in an innovative manner. According to him, thinking out of the box is better that Inbox thinking with hard core research. He thanked GMA for the initiative and has asked GMA to conduct such kind of convention.
  • After the inaugural address, Souvenir was released by the Guests. The Sponsors to the event were felicitated with memento as a token of gratification. The Principal Co-sponsors of the event was NIXI.  The Co-sponsors of the event were, ABES EC, AKGIM, Ghaziabad, and ITS Ghaziabad.   • The theme of the Technical Session 1 was “Innovation in Engineering and Manufacturing”. The session Chairman was Mr. V.K. Dubey, MD Continental Carbon India Ltd.
  • The Distinguished speakers for this technical session were Mr. Ravi Aggarwal, Director, Pepperl Fuchs., Mr. Pradeep Nair, Director, SLM Solutions, GMBH, and Mr. Pradeep Sharma, AGM Kuka Robotics.
  • Mr. Pradeep Nair enlightened the delegated about the additive manufacturing. He illustrated about futuristic process and the pros & cons of additive manufacturing. He discussed the applications of additive manufacturing in various product designing for e.g.: concept design and functional design.
  • Mr. Ravi Aggarwal discussed the stages of development with respect to India. He believed in Make in India and delivered the concept of Smart Manufacturing which included by important industries.
  • Mr. Pradep Shoran, AGM Kuka Robotics talked about the innovation in manufacturing with Human Collaboration. He discussed about the Robot Based Automation. He discussed about the new Robot which has a special feature of sensing line of activity and reproducing the same activity? He focused on the need Human Robot Collaboration because of demanding tasks that require the same degree of repeat ability.
  • The theme of the technical session 2 was “Entrepreneurship & Skill Building in High Technology Areas”. The session Chairman was Mr. S.M. Mittal, Director Sukriti Vidyut Udhyog Ltd.
  • The distinguished speakers for this technical session were Mr. Anup Wadhwa, Director AIA, Delhi, Mr.S Dhanabal, Academic Prog Manager National Instruments. Mr. Rajat Gupta Founder & CEO, TESSOL Ltd and Ms. Juhee Garg, Director Oyster Connect.com.
  • Mr. Anup Wadhwa enlightened the issues which have i.e. information technology+ Indian Talents will be the face of tomorrow. He talked about e-kranti leading to village. He suggested to use our competitive edge i.e. demographic dividend to reach the pinnacle. He talked about Modi ji’s Recent visit to USA.
  • Mr. Dhanabal discussed about the skill building process and how they need to be upgraded for a better future of industry,  He stressed on the student – faculty engagement and their engagement with live projects of the industry.
  • Ms. Garg emphasized on the virtual platform for skill development and how it could be useful without waiting for actually reaching the work area.
  • Mr. Rajat Gupta spoke about the skills required for becoming an entrepreneur and that most of the areas of work are today high technology areas.  He emphasized on entrepreneur to be adding value to the product and to be sensitive to the environmental effects of his product.  He should be constantly working on new products/ processes to meet requirements of the clients. 
Valedictory Session
  • The chief guest was Lt. Gen. A.K. Agarwal, PVSM,  He discussed the role of technology and communication the growth of economy. He believed that “Right to Broadband” can change the face and pace of the Indian economy. He discussed the road map given by our prime minister “IT+IT=IT”.(Internet Technology + Indian Talent = India Tomorrow)
  • Mr. Mudit Agarwal and Ms. Shreya Agarwal from AKGEC explained the SCROLLS competition and made announcements to felicitate the winners of “Scrolls’15” which was organized in association with GMA.
  • The Winners were awarded the certificates and cash prizes.
  • Thereafter, Mr. Vinay Gupta, Executive Director briefed about the business simulation, workshop conducted by GMA through AIMA.
  • All the winners were facilitated with memento and certificate of excellence.
  • The result was announced for the lucky draw technical session 1. Mr. Ankur Panday from RKGIT got a Lenovo Tablet worth Rs. 25000/- in the lucky draw.
  • The lucky draw was announced for technical session 2. The Winner was Mr. Shashank Shekhar Singh from ABES –EC. Who got Lenovo Tablet worth Rs. 25000/-.
After that Mr. Vinay Gupta Executive Director GMA proposed the vote of thanks to all sponsors & advertisers, organizers, those who worked day and night for this, and delegates.
